two years ago i went to animal care league and saw this little chihuahua in his cage. he was a stray and had been found on the street in oak park. he’d been in the shelter nearly a month — almost unheard of for a little dog.
i believe he was waiting for me. he changed me and changed my life. he greets me with those big brown eyes and loves me like there’s no tomorrow. every single day of my life is better because parker luis boehms is a part of it.
